Seven Hills

Seven Hills

Seven Hills has an enviable reputation as a high-quality family-friendly suburb that offers a convenient location.

One of Brisbane's smallest suburbs Seven Hills has an enviable reputation as a family-friendly location with quality housing opportunities and a real local vibe!

Transport

Convenient Location Seven Hills is Centrally located within East Brisbane and offers a great base as it has very good public transport connections including a train station nearby at Norman Park. Brisbane CBD is only an 18 min drive and 20 mins out to the lovely Bay suburbs. Good shopping facilities and plenty of food outlets are available close by.

Lifestyle & Amenities

Close to the city, but with a village atmosphere, Seven Hills is very popular amongst both professionals and families. Seven Hills is filled with families, in the mornings the school rush is on but also has parents walking with prams, dogs or both, grabbing a coffee at the Rabbit Hole Cafè or chatting with a friend.
There are many multi-generational families in the suburb, as it truly does cater to all. Recent years have seen a sharp increase in interest from young professionals seeking a quiet suburban lifestyle without compromising on the ability to quickly get into Brisbane. The older generation is also taken care of with a local aged care service.

Seven Hills has a real village feel with its own shopping strip and 2 cafès which attracts a good weekend morning crowd along with the midweek before school coffee. The suburb boasts one of the best views of Brisbane at Paramount Lookout.
The lovely Seven Hills Hub offers the following services for the community to enjoy

  • Ron Hurley Theatre
  • Outdoor courtyard with amphitheatre
  • Griffith Place Park (adjoins the venue)
  • 68 car parking spaces including two accessible spaces
  • Jolly Centre (community hub)

There are plenty of opportunities for exercise to be had with walks or hikes available at the Seven Hills Bushlands reserve.

Seven Hills is very much a traditional Brisbane suburb with the classic Queenslander being prominent. The house blocks can be larger here which has meant that a number of older highset homes have been removed and newer, grandeur homes are being built. There are only a few newly constructed quality apartments that are highly sought after.

Education

There are limited school options in this small suburb with only a Primary School being centrally located. But there are schools for all families within neighbouring suburbs providing Private schooling at Cannon Hill Anglican College, Lourdes Hill College and Public schools at Seven Hills Primary with senior schools at Whites Hill State School and Coorparoo Secondary College.

Community & Lifestyle

Seven Hills offers a number of small parks to enjoy with a great outdoor facility at Seven Hills Bushland Reserve offering a lovely 52 hectares of green space to enjoy a run or a walk with the dog and kids.
There is a lovely lookout to enjoy with great views over Brisbane, coffee shops and good public transport along with the fabulous Seven Hills Hub contributing to the community. The Norman Park train station is very handy and close by. Major shopping centres can be found at Carindale, Cannon Hill and Coorparoo.
