Ormiston was originally a part of Cleveland but gained its name from Ormiston House, which was built overlooking Raby Bay in the 1860s and is still one of Brisbane's smaller suburbs..

Ormiston offers a mixture of heritage buildings and contemporary architecture alongside enjoyable bayside living while also having the setting of parks, koala corridors, bike and walkways, water views whilst only being minutes to Cleveland. It has Alexandra Hills, Wellington Point and Cleveland on its borders.

Transport

Ormiston is ideally located to the southeast of Brisbane CBD with good road infrastructure and its own train station on the Cleveland Line. Its situated next to the Raby Bay Estate. There is a good road system into Brisbane and south through the Redlands. It also has a close proximity to Redlands Hospital and is home to the highly desirable Ormiston College.
